Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
